To the VCU and VCU Health System Communities:
As the VCU Quest for Distinction approaches the end of its first year, we continue to be encouraged by the positive energy and enthusiastic momentum surrounding our strategic plan. Your willingness to embrace our Quest for Distinction has positioned VCU to build on an already impressive legacy of excellence and a sustained platform for student success, cutting-edge research, transformational service and innovative health care delivery.
In order to ensure our Quest for Distinction will be realized, I have appointed an Implementation Steering Committee to guide the activities of Quest implementation and facilitate the dissemination of Quest themes, goals and initiatives throughout the VCU community.
During the next few months, the Implementation Steering Committee will engage academic and service units, departments, and divisions in Quest discussions and will serve as the liaison between VCU Senior Leadership and the greater VCU community.
Realizing that our successful implementation of Quest is dependent upon the invaluable contributions of each and every member of the VCU community, we appreciate your support and look forward to your input. Together, we will realize our vision to become the nation's premier urban, public research university and medical center.
